Welcome to the University of Florida Cardiovascular Core Lab
Welcome to the University of Florida Cardiovascular Imaging Core Laboratories in Jacksonville, Fla., located within the Shands Jacksonville Cardiovascular Center. Our faculty and staff analyze medical imaging from national and international clinical sites participating in multi-center studies around the world, like Cardialysis in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Our partnership with Cardialysis plays a very important role in global clinical research because it works to limit inter-observer variability and provides consistent high quality analysis in both Europe and the United States.
Our state-of-the-art lab is equipped with dedicated workstations to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of coronary angiographies, peripheral angiographies, 3-D volumetric intravascular ultrasounds, cardiac magnetic resonance images and advanced multi-slice computer tomography images. This integration of QCA, IVUS, cardiac MRI, MSCT angiography, QVA & MRA and Shear Stress Assessment is one of a kind in the US.
Our unique core lab - in conjunction with one of the topmost, state-of-the-art cardiovascular centers in the country - are delivering breakthrough research and innovative cardiovascular care.
