Welcome to the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Office of Clinical Affairs. Although our primary site for patient care services is at UF Health at Jacksonville, many of our physicians practice at hospitals in the five county area. Our satellite network encompasses 35 clinics; most of these are Adult Primary Care and/or Pediatrics Primary Care Clinics and are geographically dispersed throughout the five county area. In addition, multispecialty clinic locations include Southside Jacksonville, Lake City and St. Mary’s Georgia.

Assisting me in the Clinical Affairs Office are Drs. Mark L. Hudak and Kakarla V. Chalam, along with the efforts and support of the University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. (UFJPI) and the University of Florida Jacksonville Healthcare, Inc. (UFJHI).

Mark L. Hudak, M.D., Assistant Dean for Managed Care serves as the primary liaison between the faculty and the contracting office for all issues related to managed care contracts, payment issues, rates, timely of payments and any disputes resulting from such.

Assistant Dean for Veterans Affairs Affiliations, Kakarla V. Chalam, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., serves as the liaison between UFCOM-J and the Department of Veterans Affairs, primarily with the VA Jacksonville Outpatient Clinic and the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System; and as needed the Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 (VA Sunshine Healthcare Network).
