The UF College of Medicine–Jacksonville offers medical residency and fellowship
programs, which provide outstanding opportunities to learn from UF faculty who are
among the best in their fields in a busy urban teaching hospital. In addition, clinical
roations in all major disciplines are offered for third- and fourth-year medical
students, as is continuing medical education for practicing physicians.
The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville offers specialty and subspecialty Graduate Medical Education programs in Jacksonville, Florida. Our residency and fellowship programs provide outstanding opportunities to learn from faculty who are among the best in their fields in a busy urban teaching hospital.
In addition to Graduate Medical Education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for medical students from the UF College of Medicine. While third-year rotations are only offered to UF students, elective rotations in the fourth year are available to students from accredited schools in the US and Canada.
For our faculty physicians, the college offers Continuing Medical Education programs to keep them abreast of the latest developments in medical science.
The UF Center for Simulation Education and Safety Research (CSESaR) offers education
through simulation and goal-directed training to promote quality patient care, expand
patient safety initiatives and enhance multidisciplinary health care.
An ongoing Faculty Development program designed to enhance the expertise and skills of the UFCOM-J faculty is available. Seminars and workshops, as well as presentations at division and department meetings, and peer review of teaching are available to faculty.
The Borland Health Sciences Library, located on the Jacksonville campus, provides various educational resources including electronic access to many review articles and journals.
The Office of Educational Affairs (OEA) is responsible for the management and oversight of graduate and medical student education at the UF College of Medicine-Jacksonville. The office also provides a faculty development program designed to enhance the expertise and skills of the UFCOM-J faculty.
