TraumaOne at Shands Jacksonville has acquired a third helicopter to transport regional victims of traumatic injuries, heart attacks and strokes. In addition, all three helicopters will be permanently stationed at outlying locations within the hospital's coverage area.
Russell E. Armistead, M.B.A., has been named chief executive officer of Shands Jacksonville.
The honor recognizes significant improvements and exemplary performance in patient safety, mortality, clinical effectiveness, and equity of care.
Jane Houston, D.N.P., C.N.M., delivered her first baby in 1990 as a midwife student. More than 2,000 deliveries later, Houston still strives to give expectant mothers the best birth experience possible.
