Nancy Jacobson, D.M.D.
Assistant Program Director
The UF College of Denistry's Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency (AEGD) began operations in Jacksonville in July of 1987 with three residents. Since then, the 52 week program has expanded in resident and faculty numbers and has become a premier dental training program in the Southeast.

Our training includes extensive experience in the recognized dental specialties and appropriate medical services. This is complimented by our teaching staff, which consists of generalists and board eligible or certified dental specialists representing a broad spectrum of dental expertise.

The program is fully accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of "approval without reporting requirements." Each resident who successfully completes the AEGD residency is issued a certificate of completion of training. Completion of this residency may also be applied toward the American Board in General Dentistry and Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

For more detailed information on our curriculum and application process, please explore our site further and feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have.
