Application Process

Our residency program participates in PASS, which collects all materials from the applicant and then delivers these to each participating program that the resident applies to. This program does not utlize a matching service for placement of residents.

Eligibility

Applicants must be full time students in their senior year and actively pursuing a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from a United States or Canadian dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. They must be reasonably sure of on-time graduation, since all residents must possess a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree before beginning their training. Previous year graduates may also apply.

Students interested in applying to the UF College of Dentistry Jacksonville AEGD program should contact the American Dental Education Association to receive a complete set of PASS application forms and instructions. Applications will be available each year beginning June 1st for programs beginning July 1st the following year.

Conditions Of Enrollment

Upon matriculation into the advanced education in general dentistry program, the student must provide a photocopy of their D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree awarded from their university. All matriculating students must also furnish verification of successful completion of Parts I and II of the National Board of Dental examinations.

Program Orientation

Prior to the beginning of the formal training year, an orientation program is provided to acquaint the residents with their new associates and environment. Clinic policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations for successful completion of the program will be reviewed. It is the responsibility of the resident to read, fully understand and comply with all requirements of the program.
