About Myint M. Thway

Myint Myat Thway, M.D., is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She received her medical education from The Institute of Medicine, Yangon, Myanmar. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. She was a faculty of Internal Medicine before she pursued her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Miami, Millar School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. She is experienced in treating a wide range of systemic autoimmune diseases, including Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Scleroderma and Sjogren’s Syndrome and has a particular interest in maternal care of autoimmune disorder. She is prides herself in taking the time to listen to her patients and provide passionate care with integration and collaboration with colleagues. She is married and a mother of two. She enjoys traveling and discovering new cultures.
