Curriculum
Our UF Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship offers training to both emergency medicine and pediatric graduates. A training period of two years is required for all subspecialty residents. Pediatric graduates require three years of fellowship training in order to meet the certification requirements by the American Board of Pediatrics' Sub-Board of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Conferences average one-hour per day, and include:
- Research Seminar
- Emergency Medicine Conferences
- Journal Club
- Combined PEM and PCC Conference
- PEM Board Review Conference
- Literature Update Conference
- Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow Research Program Committee
Fellows are expected to attend at least 70 percent of the required conferences, with the exception of the pediatric critical care and trauma rotations where they attend conferences related to their rotations. Fellows are involved in the preparation of some conferences. An attendance list that includes both pediatric emergency medicine faculty and subspecialty residents is kept by the PEM program director.
