Home Page Features:
- QUICK WORK LIST- Patient census for the user will appear for selection and review.
The "patient list" is created in the McKesson Patient Care registration processor.
When the physician is listed in the registration as the attending of record, the referring, primary, ER, or consulting, the patient will appear on the census of those physicians.
- PHYSICIAN DIRECTORY- Physician lookup to review census of colleagues. Access to physician demographic information.
- BOOKMARKS/LINKS- Quick access to existing campus resources (Users can customize and add URL links via 'edit').
SELECTING THE RECORD FOR YOUR PATIENT:
- Choose from the work list
- Choose from station census
- Choose from MPI (Master Patient Index)
Select a patient record by searching the name, MEDICAL RECORD # or '*' account number
Click on the name of the patient to be selected.
Once a patient is selected, the 'RESULTS' screen will appear.
LAB/RAD = (LABORATORY, OLD PATHOLOGY & RADIOLOGY RESULTS)
Select a result by clicking on THE DESCRIPTION to view and or print.
Select multiple results to 'view' by checking the box to the left of that result. View and print some or all reports with one step.
VIEWING REPORT RESULTS FROM OTHER SYSTEMS:
PATHOLOGY /CARDIOLOGY /G.I.LAB TAB
= Access to NEW PATHOLOGY REPORTS after 1 November 05
= Access to CARDIOLOGY RESULTS/REPORTS from CAOS
= Access to G.I.LAB RESULTS/REPORTS from cMore.
Transcription Tab = Access to any transcribed reports that were in CCRV prior to the Portal implementation. (Clinic Notes, Consults, H&P's, Op Reports, D/C Summaries)
OTHER 'TAB' FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
RX = Medications dispensed from Star Pharmacy /Drug Information
ORDERS = Detail for LAB/RAD orders placed from STAR Patient Care
FACESHEET = Registration information from STAR Patient Care
DX/PR = Diagnosis/Procedure Code summary
PT FINDER = Individual Patient Lookup
PHYSICIAN WALK ORDER LIST: Selecting Walk Order Report will provide option to print your patient Census list.
HOW TO ACCESS THE CENSUS OF ANOTHER PHYSICIAN.
Enter the Physician name in the Physician directory.
Check Ö the 'SUPPORT box' (Left of Physician Name).
You must check this box for each physician census you need to access.
Once the box has been checked, scroll up to 'Quick Work list' (at the top of the home page).
Select 'Census Type' drop down menu.
Select 'Supporting Patients'.
Click on 'Get Worklist.'
This will add the selected physician to the drop down menu.
The census will display all supporting physicians where you have checked their support box, inclusive of your newest addition. The name of each added physician will appear on the drop down menu for future selection.
To remove a physician, go to Physician Directory and UNCHECK the support box. The list will refresh on the next logon session.
ACCESS TO HISTORIZED VISIT INFORMATION
Selecting or clicking on the Patients' Name will default to the most current visit, and default to LAB and RAD results.
Selecting the 'Visits' button will display the visit history by account number and admit date. Selecting a previous visit (account) will allow you to view information relative to that specific registration.
This visit specific information will be found under the 'FACE SHEET' and 'DX/PR' tabs at the top of the page.
DX/PR Procedure diagnosis information will present a view of principle and secondary diagnoses as coded by medical records upon the discharge of that selected visit.
In order to then return to current visit information and all results, the user must return to MPI/Active search and select the patient name instead of the visit button to exit the histories record.
