The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension of the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is proud to offer a two year, ACGME-accredited Nephrology fellowship.

The fellowship consists of a comprehensive training experience in all aspects of clinical nephrology, including acute and chronic hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation, hypertension, and all forms of fluid, acid-base, and electrolyte disturbances. Nephrology fellows will become adept at the placement of temporary vascular access for hemodialysis and percutaneous native and transplant renal biopsy. In addition, fellows will receive instruction and mentoring in clinical and basic nephrology research with protected time to engage in meritorious activities. All first-year fellows participate in the National Kidney Foundation spring meetings and all senior fellows attend the American Society of Nephrology.

Our faculty are dynamic and highly motivated, and our clinical practice and referral system are robust. The Department of Medicine boasts a strong Internal Medicine Residency Program led by the program director, two associate program directors and two fourth-year chief medical residents, and is highly integrated into the educational mission of the nephrology fellowship.

Please review our website in detail and email or call with questions. We think you will like what you see and hope you will let us serve as your gateway to a bright professional future as a nephrologist.
