Three staff members at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville have been chosen to receive the UF Health Science Center Superior Accomplishment Award. The winners are Nia Bates, Leslie Caulder and Audrey Perry.

The award recognizes UF staff and academic personnel who contribute outstanding service and help enhance the quality of life for students and employees. The nominations, submitted by peers, were based on contributions to the UF community from August 2012 through July 2013.

The Health Science Center committee considered the following when making the selections: excellence in overall job performance; outstanding service to students, staff, academic personnel, visitors and university clientele; willingness to assist beyond normal expectations; dedication to the job and the university; consistent cooperation and helpfulness; and initiative and/or creativity in performing assigned duties.

Bates and Caulder, both administrative services coordinators, each won in the Administration/Professional award category. Bates works in the Office of Administrative Affairs and Caulder works in the Office of Educational Affairs.

Perry won in the Administrative/Supervisory award category. She is an administrative assistant in the Office of Administrative Affairs.

Bates, Caulder and Perry will be formally acknowledged during an awards luncheon in Gainesville. Their nomination packages will be forwarded to the university award committee for evaluation. That committee will select a university-wide award winner in each employee award category.
