Miller, Gray-Eurom selected for prestigious national fellowship

Two of UF Health Jacksonville’s key officers will soon take part in a prestigious national fellowship program for health care leaders.

Chief Operating Officer Greg Miller and Chief Quality Officer Kelly Gray-Eurom, MD, have been selected to participate in the Fellows Program for America’s Essential Hospitals — an association that advocates for medical centers and health systems across the country. Education, research and policy development are some of the association’s core points of emphasis.

The Fellows Program, which began more than 25 years ago, brings together leaders from around the nation to examine challenges, explore strategies and develop skills that can strengthen organizations and improve patient care. The program lasts 10 months and will include three separate multi-day group sessions held in different cities. Activities will include presentations from health care experts, case studies and group projects.

Miller and Gray-Eurom were nominated for the program by Russ Armistead, CEO of UF Health Jacksonville.

“I am excited about the opportunity to share ideas and strategies with other health care leaders from across the country,” said Miller, who has been at UF Health Jacksonville for 24 years. He’s been a vice president since 1999, having served as COO the past four years.

“Health care is constantly evolving and I am confident this fellowship program will broaden my knowledge in multiple areas,” he said.

“This is an amazing opportunity to interact and learn from some of the best minds in health care, who are focused on helping our patients and our practice,” said Gray-Eurom, a professor of emergency medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. She has been a UF faculty member for 21 years and has served as UF Health Jacksonville’s chief quality officer the past two years.

“I also hope to share the work being done on our campus with others in the group to help other systems experience the same amazing advances in quality and patient care that we are achieving,” she said.
