Hudak named Compliance Advocate of the Year

Mark Hudak, M.D., has received the inaugural 2006 UF Compliance Advocate of the Year award. The honor was given as part of National Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week, held May 21-27 and sponsored by the UF Jacksonville Healthcare, Inc. and UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. Office of Physician Billing Compliance, HIPAA Privacy Office and Internal Audit Department.

Hudak, assistant dean for managed care, a professor of pediatrics and chief of the division of neonatology, also serves as the compliance leader for the pediatrics department. In this role he acts as a liaison between the Office of Physician Billing Compliance and the UF Department of Pediatrics.

Hudak was recognized for his leadership, integrity and continued support of compliance efforts on the Jacksonville campus and at Baptist Medical Center and other hospitals in Jacksonville and Orange Park where UF pediatricians care for patients.
