Adult Nurse Practitioner Track
The Adult Nurse Practitioner clinical track prepares nurses for careers in the delivery of primary health care to adults. Program emphasis is on health promotion, the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic health problems, admissions and discharge planning. Practice sites are general and specialty ambulatory clinics, private practice offices, subacute units, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. Collaborative care with other health care providers is integrated throughout the program. Students may also elect an emphasis in oncology.
Adult Nurse Practitioner graduates are eligible for national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
