Research
The department has been engaged in and committed to clinically applied research for many years. In continuing with this practice, obstetrics and gynecology residents are required to complete a research project during PGY 3 and PGY 4.
The UF College of Medicine Jacksonville encourages resident and fellow research through a Residents Research Day, which is held every spring. The awards presented on this day are a reflection of the research occurring on our campus. Well-designed studies conducted in collaboration with the faculty have resulted in residents and fellows presenting their research at regional, national and international meetings. Funding is made available for these presentations and residents are strongly encouraged to publish the results of their scientific projects.
