The Section of Head and Neck Cancer at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is dedicated to providing the finest care for our patients. To that end, our faculty strives to be on the cutting edge of the surgical management of head and neck cancer as well as in our reconstructive procedures.

Our goals are to provide the best possible surgical outcome and to improve the quality of life for our patients. The head and neck tumor board fosters an interdisciplinary approach to treatment. The board consists of surgeons, radiation oncologists, neuroradiologists and speech pathologists who are dedicated to the care of head and neck patients. Weekly meetings are held to discuss cases and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.

Our section faculty is involved in training post-doctoral fellows in all aspects of head and neck surgery as well as complex microvascular reconstructive surgery. We strive to improve the care of head and neck cancer through collaborative basic and clinical research projects. The section faculty also works with community physicians to provide excellent care for patients with head and neck cancer and those needing complex reconstructions.
