Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood and has its share of challenges, decisions and discoveries. It is a time of physical, psychological and social growth. The UF Division of Adolescent Medicine in Jacksonville strives to provide excellent and appropriate health care for this unique group of individuals.

The division provides first-year pediatric residents from the UF Department of Pediatrics in Jacksonville with one month of training in adolescent medicine. These residents provide health care and education to adolescent patients at five locations, which include:

  • The Bridge of Northeast Florida Health Clinic - a program through the Duval County Health Department for youth from throughout the community

  • The Bolles School - UF provides contracted services to the private school's boarding students

  • The Rainbow Center - the only comprehensive pediatric AIDS program in Northeast Florida

  • The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile - provides school-based health care on site at 21 Duval County middle schools and high schools

Thank you for your interest in the Division of Adolescent Medicine and please do not hesitate to contact the division with any further questions.
