The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Division of Cardiovascular Imaging is responsible for tomographic radiologic imaging studies in collaboration with the Division of Cardiology, at Shands Jacksonville, a 696 bed tertiary hospital and referral center. Shands Jacksonville has been recognized as a top-100 national ranking as a heart center.

The division supervises and interprets all cardiovascular computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) examinations.

Referrals from outside institutions constitute a growing part of our division’s activities due to our focus on advanced applications of CT and MR in assessing early coronary artery disease and forms of heart failure.
